These days, it’s easy to look at humanity with frustration. Lying, thievery, and danger run through our society like a plague. What makes it worse is the fact that our media seemingly focuses on this — it doesn’t call out the good. But since the world looks like a dreary place, it’s up to each of us to find the good things in the world that make us smile. With so much darkness in our lives, how do we find the things that make us tear up with happiness?

All it takes is a bit of observance. This flight attendant has provided the perfect example of a small everyday deed. He saw that a girl was having a rough time on a flight, so he decided to comfort her. In this case, he was correct.
A bit of focus and determination, and he took what was easily a scary moment for a young girl and made it a proud moment in her life. Take Garrick’s example: holding the darkness at bay is a job for all of us! The best part is that it only takes a few minutes for each of us to be human.
